Anxiety is essential to survival and its day-to-day role is to keep us safe. But sometimes the brain gets scrambled and we get anxious about situations where there is no significant threat. The brain releases adrenaline and cortisol which, when not required can make you feel completely on edge. I like to describe depression as a deceptive state. Your head is working against your best interests. I understand depression at a cellular level. I’ve tried several antidepressants and therapies. I understand how it can hold you back and how to address the different facets of how and why it affects people. Your depression wants to keep you depressed, that’s why it’s difficult to overcome. The best way to overcome it is to change the way you think. If you can learn to think better you will feel better.

Sleep is a vital biological process essential for our physical and mental health.
